What can we say...Quentin LOVES dogs. We think it is wonderful and plan to get him one of his own someday. The only bad thing is that Quentin really, really loves them and wants to hug them and pet them and pull them! Thank goodness none of his little friends have bitten him yet!
1. Hang On....Wait a minute...I’m right behind you....
2. Oh yeah, now we are talking. Kiss me you crazy dog.
3. Okay...I don’t mean to be rude but I think one of us forgot to brush our teeth this morning.
4. Oh yes, you’ll be my new friend.
5. Umm, let me check you out and make sure everything is okay.
6. Excuse me....I said EXCUSE ME...will you let her off this leash so we can get out of here.

We arrived at Grandma and Grandaddy Bell’s on Tuesday afternoon and Quentin loved being in the country. We had a wonderful week seeing family and friends and enjoying nature. Well, most of us enjoyed the nature except for Allen who wasn’t too happy finding a big black snake in the Garage! Below are some of the pictures from the trip. Of course, we saw lots more folks and weren’t able to get everyone included but had a great time seeing all of the family and friends.
1. Quentin loves hanging out with his Grandma.
2. Quentin met another brand new cousin, Damon Bell!
3. Cousin Damon with him Mom Marla pose with Mr. Q.
4. In the pool with Daddy and Aunt Teri.
5. We had such a good time in Auntie Clara’s pool and eating her amazing food. Here is Grandma, Aunt Teri, Daddy, and Auntie Clara.
6. Quentin decided that he could drive Aunt Marion’s car since we were way out in the country!
7. Quentin makes a quick phone call while Cousin Dana and Daddy catch up. Cousin Dana was in from Germany!
Can’t wait to be back in Virginia soon!

Q’s Summer Adventure: Stop 3 = Virginia Beach
_thumb.jpg)
On Monday afternoon, we left Monty and Barb’s in Murfreesboro and headed to the airport in Nashville for a short flight to Norfolk, Virginia. Aunt Teri picked us up at the airport to take us to her house in Virginia Beach to spend the night. The next morning we went to visit some of our relatives who live there in Virginia Beach. This was a quick visit to VB because we wanted to head up to Grandma and Grandaddy’s that afternoon. But, we’ll be back to VB so Q can play in the Ocean.
1. Quentin and Allen with Aunt Connie who we had celebrated her birthday with in Cancun a few months ago. She loves her some Quentin!
2. Quentin with his newest cousin Marcus Jr. and Daddy, Marcus Sr., and T’Na.
Next stop: New Kent County!!!

Q’s Summer Adventure: Stop 2 = Etowah

Our next stop was Etowah, Tennessee. Quentin’s daddy Stuart spent a lot of time in this small town in East Tennessee growing up. We went to visit Uncle Jere and Aunt Linda who now live in my Grandparents old home. They’ve done a great job of fixing it up and it brought back so many wonderful memories of times spent there. They took us to lunch at a restaurant that is housed in one of my grandfather’s old department stores which was a real treat and made me very nostalgic. It was so great to be with them again! We also were able to visit my grandmother and grandfather’s graves which meant a lot. My grandparents were truly wonderful!
Of course, the highlight for Quentin was getting to play with their beautiful, big dog and his two young cousins, Belle and Brie, and his older cousin Brian. Here are some photos from this part of the trip.
1. Miller Family Reunion: What Fun!
2. Quentin enjoys the “cars” with cousins Belle and Brie.
3. Quentin loves motorcycles and couldn’t wait to sit on Cousin Doug’s.
4. Quentin gives cousin Belle a hug. Or is he trying to wrestle???
Thanks to our family in Etowah for a wonderful time. We can’t wait to come back and for you to visit us in California!

Q’s Summer Adventure: Stop 1 = Murfreesboro

Quentin flew to Nashville to see some of his favorite relatives. We were so excited to be staying at Monty and Barbara’s new house which is on several acres and includes a horse barn--Monty’s dream. The house and barn and land are all amazing! Quentin even got to pet his first horse. No rides this year but we expect next year Uncle Monty will have a pony ready for him. Here are some pics from this part of the trip.
1. Quentin’s Uncle Monty and Aunt Barbara took good care of him and his daddies!
2. Quentin’s Nanny Miller juggles grandson Quentin and granddaughter Ava.
3. Quentin hams it up with Nanny and Granddaddy Miller.
4. Quentin makes a new friend in Hal, Stuart’s friend Donna’s son. Donna and Greg hosted a wonderful evening of food and fun which included the best friends Sue, Jamie, Donna, Stuart, and their families.
5. Quentin has a thing for “hugging” his cousins. In this first shot, see how happy cousin Ava looks.
6. Here, Cousin Will seems equally happy to have the attention of his cousin Quentin.
7. Barb’s sister Allison has a crush on Quentin...or is it the other way around???
8. Barb’s sister Beth tells Quentin what’s really going on!
9. Quentin terrorizes...I mean plays with another friend....Barb’s nephew John.
10. Quentin chills on Monty and Barb’s porch swing. Ain’t life sweet!
Sorry to those not pictured here. We love you just the same!!!
Next up: Etowah, TN. Then, on to Virginia!

Coy and Todd Come to Visit…
Coy and Todd came out to California to visit us recently. As you can see from the picture, Quentin had plenty of arms to hold him over the week that Coy and Todd spent with us in Rancho Mirage and in LA. We will see them again soon when we head to Tennessee and Virginia for a visit.

Quentin Goes to Cancun!

Well, it seems like Quentin loves to hang out in Mexico. Last spring he spent a week in Cabo and this spring we went to Cancun to celebrate Aunt Connie’s 60th birthday (she doesn’t look at day over 45)! We all had a wonderful seven days in Cancun and stayed in a fabulous condo right on the Caribbean. It was a very nice family get-together and Quentin had plenty of playmates. All of us - Connie, Allen, Stuart, Quentin, Teri, Dondre, Angela, Crystal, Cheryl, Charmae, Melvin, Trina, Stacy, and Nikki are ready for another vacation. Quentin has his spring tan and is ready to show it off. I know you all are wanting to see the pictures from our trip, so take a look…
1. Quentin started off his trip by keeping Monique company on the plane from Los Angeles to Dallas. Monique was on her way to do a show in Dallas. Quentin loved entertaining Monique...she said he is almost as funny as her.
2. View from our condo. This is what Quentin was enjoying each day.
3. Aunt Connie blowing out her birthday candle. We took her out for a wonderful Italian dinner.
4. Allen, Connie, Stuart and Quentin enjoying the beach.
5. Quentin loves to play in the sand. He wouldn’t let anyone take his shovel!
6. Quentin and Teri in the pool.
7. Quentin, Allen, Trina and Teri - Quentin loves splashing us.
8. I told you Quentin was running.
9. Stuart bought Quentin his first pair of sunglasses. Quentin is very stylish ya know…
10. Quentin and Teri. Is Quentin going to take a nap - we don’t think so…
11. Quentin riding on the bus. He is probably wondering who all those strange people are and why he doesn’t have to be strapped in for once.
12. Cheryl and Quentin. Quentin loves to play with a spoon whenever his sits at the table. He doesn’t eat with the spoon - he just bangs it on the table.
13. Quentin in his new True Religion jeans - I told you - stylish.
14. Quentin and Dondre. Quentin is pointing for Dondre to take him somewhere.
15. Quentin was hanging in there dancing with Angela, Connie, Crystal and Charmae.
16. Quentin’s babysitters during our trip - its time for Teri, Trina, Nikki, and Stacy to relax in the hot tub.

Standing and Walking - Quentin is on the Move!
Quentin started to really walk during his birthday weekend. He was up pushing his toys around the floor and wouldn’t slow down. Since then, he has started getting up on his own and walking quite a bit while holding on to our fingers as we scoot along with him. He still crawls quite a bit as I think it is still the fasted mode of transportation for him. Look at the photo - we can’t believe he has reached this stage already (I guess we can’t believe over a year had gone by). We are headed to Cancun, Mexico this weekend to celebrate Aunt Connie’s 60th birthday. Look for more pictures later on in the month from our beach trip. Quentin must be checking out all of the Mexican beaches. Last spring we took him to Cabo and now he is going to check out the Caribbean side. You’ll see us soon with our tans!

Quentin wants a Harley Davidson!
Our friends Rose and Jeannine came over to visit today and Rose was on her new yellow Harley. The last time they came to visit Rose was on the back of Jeannine’s new black Harley. Needless to say, we all had to go out and take a picture on their new bikes. Can’t you see Stuart, Quentin and me on our Harleys?!? Quentin is ready for a ride as always.

Quentin visits Aunt Fannie in Arizona
I had to go to Phoenix to work for three weeks, so Quentin and Stuart came along with me for part of my stay. We stayed at the very nice Arizona Biltmore Hotel. We went to dinner over our friends Ken and Bob’s home one night (we forgot to take a picture) and another night we went to visit my Great Aunt Fannie who lives in Sun City, AZ. As you can see from the picture, Quentin wanted to play with anything he could find in Aunt Fannie’s house.

Quentin Loves Spike!
David, Mark and Spike came to visit us at our home in Rancho Mirage this weekend. Quentin chased their dog, Spike, around all weekend. Everytime Quentin sees a dog he gets excited and starts “screaming” for the dog to come over so he can pet it. We would love to get Quentin a dog, but we just don’t stay home long enough to take care of one...maybe later on down the road.

One Year Doctor’s Appointment
Mr. Q had his one year doctor’s appointment today. He LOVES his Dr. Bess and she loves him too. He was 23.4 pounds, 33 inches (yes, almost 3 feet) and a big head! He is the picture of health and growing everyday! Now, we are on to the adventure of no more formula and real food!

It is hard to believe that our little guy turned 1 today. We had a great party with family and friends to celebrate! We hope you enjoy the pictures. We still have more coming in so we’ll be posting again soon.
1. We’ll start with cake. He’s looking at it but not quite sure what to do with it.

Quentin’s First Christmas

Quentin, Stuart, and I headed back to Virginia for Christmas - for Quentin’s First Christmas! Quentin spent lots of time with his Grandma Dulcenia, Grandpa Warren, Aunt Teri, and many other family members and friends. Quentin received so many toys, clothes, and other items for Christmas - he doesn’t know what to play with! After opening up all of his presents, Quentin still prefers to play with our cell phones, any remote control, keys, and anything he can get his hands on in the kitchen (as you can see from the pic - he is swiffering the floor). We had such a good time in Virginia and everyone loved seeing Quentin. Quentin made Grandma Dulcenia feel much better during the week as she is going through her cancer treatment. We will be back soon! Here are some pictures from Christmas in Virginia:
1. Mom, Dad, Allen, Stuart, and Quentin on Christmas Day (Teri was taking the picture).
2. Dad, Teri, & Quentin on Christmas Day.
3. Dad, Mom, & Quentin.
4. Quentin and Grandma Dulcenia relaxing.
5. Quentin and Cousin Dawna.
6. Quentin and Cousin Marla. Quentin will have a new cousin to play with soon as Marla & David are expecting a baby boy in a few months.
7. Quentin and one of his “favorite” toys - the swiffer.
8. Cousin LaSean came to visit Quentin.
9. Aunt Connie, Aunt Charmae, and Uncle Melvin were all home for the holidays to see us.
10. Stuart, Allen, & Quentin before church service.
11. Quentin and Shannon - Quentin fell in love with the reverend’s daughter on Christmas Eve and at church.
